KENNETH WHALUM
WATCH

From the heart of Memphis, Kenneth Whalum brings a raw and deeply personal musical experience. Singer, songwriter, arranger, and producer, Whalum’s journey has taken him from the soaring melodies of contemporary jazz to the intimate depths of alternative soul. After years as a sought-after saxophonist, including tours with Maxwell and the critically acclaimed jazz album “To Those Who Believe,” Whalum found his true voice – literally.
His work resonates with vulnerability and expressiveness, crafting tranquil compositions that forge powerful connections with his audience. With a career of nearly two decades, you might recognize Whalum’s contributions to Jay-Z’s “Roc Boys (And the Winner Is…),” Mac Miller’s “Ladders,” or the poignant “Might Not Be OK” featuring Big K.R.I.T., a powerful reflection on today’s social climate.
His solo projects, “Broken Land,” “Beautiful Ending,” and “Broken Land 2,” showcase his mastery of fusing soul, R&B, jazz, and blues.  Whalum’s introspective lyrics, a “dual perspective” reflecting both his inner self and the world around him, invite listeners to look inward.
A true collaborator and innovator, Whalum moves within a community of artists like Robert Glasper, Bilal, PJ Morton, and James Blake. Most recently his contributions can be heard on Beyoncé’s Grammy winning, platinum selling album ‘Renaissance’ on the track entitled “Pure/Honey.” Kenneth Whalum’s performance promises an evening of profound musicality and authentic storytelling.
