ERIC ESSIX
Eric Essix is a celebrated contemporary jazz guitarist known for his smooth, soulful sound infused with elements of R&B, blues, and his strong gospel roots.
His music often carries a distinct “Southern feel,” reflecting his Alabama upbringing and offering a blend of infectious melodies and funky grooves. Essix is praised for his masterful musicianship and the emotional resonance he imbues in his performances and each of his concept-driven albums.
Essix was inducted into the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame as its youngest member in 1991 and is also an Alabama Music Hall of Fame Achiever. Over his more than 34-year career, Eric Essix has released 28 full-length albums, consistently charting on jazz radio. His most recent album is “My Heartbeat,” just released on May 16, 2025.
