JACKIEM JOYNER
Contemporary saxophonist and producer Jackiem Joyner has been captivating audiences for two decades with a seductive smooth jazz sound infused by his gospel upbringing and love of contemporary R&B.
With a number-one jazz album, chart-topping hits, and critically acclaimed novels under his belt, Joyner is unbounded. Born in Norfolk, VA, he discovered his love for the saxophone and showed a restless creativity that have together defined his career.
His 2007 album, Babysoul, marked his arrival onto the smooth jazz scene and began a prolific recording career that would include Grammy runner-ups, hit singles, and no shortage of critical adoration, right up through his 2023 album, Missing You, and on to his 2024 single, “Lokichogio.”
As a performer, he has toured over 30 countries and performed with the likes of the late George Duke, Marcus Miller, Keiko Matsui, Donnie McClurkin, Angela Bofill, Najee, Kirk Whalum, Peter White, and many others.
