“Kandace Springs isn’t just a star. She’s an entire galaxy.” – The Times of London
“She has a voice that could melt snow.” — Prince
Nashville-based Kandace Springs delivers a performance that bridges the gap between the smoky jazz clubs of the 1950s and the vibrant R&B of today. Springs is known for her virtuosic piano playing and intimate, rich alto vocal delivery.
Springs was raised in a musical household; her father, Scat Springs, was a respected Nashville session singer. She was driven to pursue music, captivated by female legends such as Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, and Norah Jones.
She has released several acclaimed albums, often collaborating with high-profile musicians like Terence Blanchard, Christian McBride, and David Sanborn. Her first two albums both reached No. 2 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart. Her 2025 masterpiece, Lady in Satin, showcases her ability to carry the weight of a 60-piece orchestral arrangement with grace and power.
On stage, Springs creates an intimate atmosphere where every note feels personal, honing both her technical brilliance and raw emotional honesty at major festivals like Monterey and North Sea.
