A soulful keyboard sensation, Nicholas Cole masterfully fuses the roots of gospel and R&B with contemporary jazz.
A native of Goldsboro, North Carolina, Cole was a musical prodigy who began playing church organ at age four—a foundation of passion that still defines his ‘fire-and-brimstone’ stage presence today. Before his meteoric rise on the national charts, Cole honed his craft right here in North Carolina, studying privately with noted Goldsboro-area pianist Jimmy Aycock and drawing early inspiration from his musical family.
Today, Cole stands as a powerhouse in the smooth jazz world, frequently collaborating with industry heavyweights. He has toured and recorded with the likes of Brian Culbertson and Julian Vaughn—most notably on the chart-topping hit ‘Feelings’—and has shared the stage with icons such as Marcus Anderson and Nick Colionne.
Since his breakout #1 hit ‘Snap’ in 2012, Cole has become a mainstay at the top of the Billboard charts, recently scoring his fourth #1 solo single with ‘Brown Sugar.’ His latest project, 2025’s Blue Magic, is a masterclass in ‘fearless creativity,’ blending the timeless grit of Philly Soul and Motown with sleek, modern production.
