The Charles Craig Quartet will be performing original compositions by Pianist Charles Craig mixed with some arrangements of standard jazz tunes performed by Ramsey Lewis in a hybrid of jazz, funk, and fusion sure to please all true jazz interests!
 
Pianist Charles Craig is going to take the audience on a safari through tunes such as, ‘Someday Day My Prince Will Come’, ‘Come Sunday’, ‘On Green Dolphin Street’, and his very own compositions namely ‘Annette’s Dance’ and several others.  On this musical safari adventure do not expect the usual dry heat as this music safari will be sure to quench any jazz lovers thirst with every keystroke lively as morning dew!
 
The Charles Craig Quartets’ cool vibe will vaporize Middle C into a jazz lovers paradise. 
 
CHARLES CRAIG
Charles “JP” Craig is a seasoned jazz pianist, based in the Carolinas.  Growing up in Chicago, Charles was mentored by the great Ramsey Lewis, also performing with his sons Bobby and Frayne Lewis. He attended the renowned Berklee College of Music and later served as a Jazz at Lincoln Center Consultant. 
 
Throughout the 1990s, Charles notably toured with The Roy Hargrove Quintet across America, Europe, Canada, and Cuba, recorded with Christian McBride, and performed with Arturo Sandoval’s band.
 
Charles has played with a long list of influential jazz musicians including Joe Henderson, Johnny Griffin, Steve Turre, Nicholas Payton, Vincent Gardner, Ali Jackson, Gerald Cannon, Clark Terry, Wes Anderson, George Coleman, Stanley Turrentine, Ira Sullivan, David Sanchez, Jeff Watts, Dave Weckl, and many others.
