Join pianist William Green and Karen Bryant for an evening celebrating the life and music of pianist, composer, and founding member of The Crusaders, Joe Sample. As a pioneer of crossover jazz and electric piano, Sample’s groove-driven sound helped define the jazz-funk era and left a lasting influence across R&B, pop, and hip-hop.
William Green will also perform several of his own original works – Choose to Love, Smokn Keez, My Only Love and I Am Stronger – demonstrating the lasting impact of Joe Sample’s musical legacy on his own artistry.

William Green delivers a soulful fusion of contemporary jazz, driven by keyboard mastery, dynamic showmanship, and a rare, forceful-yet-gentle vocal quality. Written and produced entirely by Green, his five-album discography reflects a deep commitment to originality: “I pride myself on creating timeless music that can be shared with the world for a lifetime.”
His latest release, Good To Go (featuring James PJ Spraggins), continues that trajectory. Beyond his studio projects, Green has performed globally with acclaimed artists including Boney James, Earl Klugh, Peabo Bryson, Valerie Simpson, and Curtis Mayfield, and opened for icons like Spyro Gyra, The Yellowjackets, and The Rolling Stones.
KAREN BRYANT
Karen Bryant is a warm, powerful vocalist whose soulful blend of jazz, R&B, and soul brings heart and deep connection to every performance. Known for an engaging, interactive style, she invites listeners into the music rather than simply performing for them.
Her career spans national and international stages, sharing lineups with artists including Maysa, Evelyn “Champagne” King, Tom Browne, Rahsaan Patterson, and the multi-Grammy-winning Yellowjackets. Bryant brings that same authenticity to her original music, including her latest single, “I AM STRONGER”—a powerful celebration of resilience, growth, and inner strength.
FULL BAND also includes John Dillard- Bass, Joe Lindsey- Guitar, and Stacey Ellis- Drums.
