Special EFX Allstars w/ Chieli Minucci, Elliot Yamin, Gerald Veasley, Eric Marienthalm Karen Briggs, Lao Tizer, and Joel Rosenblatt

The Middle C Jazz stage was filled with outstanding talent this past Thursday night!! Special EFX Allstars gave the audience the opportunity to not only see one great artist, but seven all together. The room was filled with such excitement and energy that could not go unseen. The crowd was just as outstanding as the performance with the way they were interacting with one another and the artists on stage. Singing along, dancing, clapping, and even conversing with the artists afterwards… it was a beautiful evening for both the performers and attendees. No matter the performance, Middle C Jazz becomes united once the music starts flowing.

I have a Fun fact about this performance for you all. One of the artists on stage was Elliot Yamin. Elliot was a contestant on American Idol season 5 and came in third place that season alongside second place Katharine McPhee and first place winner Taylor Hicks. When season 5 aired in 2006, every week my family and I would be voting for Mr. Elliot Yamin. So, when I found out he would be in Charlotte singing at Middle C Jazz… childhood me and even adult me absolutely flipped with excitement because I never believed I would meet an artist that inspired me to get into the music industry any time soon but look what happens here at Middle C Jazz. A dream came true!

Middle C Jazz brings the best of the best when it comes to talent and this past Thursday night was an A+ example. We hope to have Special EFX back in the future, so make sure to keep an eye out.

We’re Still Standing! Noel Friedline and Maria Howell: Two Year Anniversary Celebration

Just WOW!!! What a weekend, with over 500 people attending our Two- Year Anniversary Celebration. All of us here at Middle C couldn’t be more thankful to you all for keeping our doors open so the live music can live on and fill the city of Charlotte.

The weekend consisted of Noel Freidline and Maria Howell returning to the MCJ stage to perform a jazz celebration of Elton John and Billy Joel. Of course, they did absolutely incredible, and you could one hundred percent feel the love in the room every night this past weekend. From the stage all the way into the lobby… there was no question if anyone was enjoying themselves.

Throughout the weekend we had the pleasure of returning our gratitude to the guests with some special surprises. One of our surprises had to do with giving out a dinner certificate, to one lucky winner, so they can enjoy a delicious meal at Estampa Guacha Brazilian Steakhouse (located right across the street from Middle C Jazz). One big Surprise of our two- year anniversary celebration was the 2 for 1 Baby Grand Membership deal. This surprise allowed the guests that attended the anniversary shows to pay the price of one year membership ($350.00) to gain the access of two years of a membership. Doesn’t that rock? Yes, I know it does.

Overall, this past weekend was nothing short of AMAZING! Hope to see you all soon here at Charlotte’s new home for cool!!

Sincerely,
Dani… the girl in the white boots 🙂
