Chrissi Poland – Forever Muscle Shoals

A true soul singer at heart, Chrissi is known for both silencing a room and bringing that room of listeners to their feet with her transcendent vocal ability and deep connection to the music she is delivering. On her new album FOREVER MUSCLE SHOALS, Chrissi shines a light on the music of Muscle Shoals, Alabama in the late 60’s/early 70’s including the songs of Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Bob Dylan, The Rollings Stones, Cher and more. Having working with many of the icons that recorded during this era in Muscle Shoals, her captivating stories of how this music has influenced Chrissi add another intoxicating layer to her live performance. 

 

Home to Fame Studios and Muscle Shoals Sound, Chrissi has immersed herself in this sacred place of American music to bring forth what will surely be the most defining album of her career thus far.  With production by Jay Tooke and a backing band featuring Muscle Shoals legends Kelvin Holly (FAME Gang, Little Richard), Jimbo Hart (Jason Isbell), and more

 

Known for her electrifying and captivating live performances, Chrissi has taken the stage at some of the most iconic venues in the world, including The Hollywood Bowl, The Acropolis, Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage, Madison Square Garden and The Beacon Theatre in New York.
