Recognized as one of the genre’s most essential young voices, Jeff Ryan has quickly become a festival favorite across the country thanks to his uniquely emotive tone and explosive stage presence.  Fresh off his #1 Billboard hit “Speakeasy”, Jeff returns to Middle C Jazz to introduce his newest single “Yessir!” a collaboration with Oli Silk released this year.

JEFF RYAN
His career has been a rapid ascent. In his very first year on the scene, 2018, he was honored with the JazzTrax Breakout Artist and Smooth Jazz Network Debut Artist awards. He’s since racked up five Billboard #1 hits and was named the 2020 Billboard Artist of the Year. His track “Sentimental Soul” also earned him the 2021 Song of the Year.

Ryan’s music, from his debut single “Up and Up” to his latest releases, is defined by a soulful sound that deeply connects with audiences, a skill he honed playing with traveling soul bands and in “rowdy bars” during his teenage years. This early experience helped him develop into the captivating performer he is today, known for his spontaneous, high-energy shows.
Influenced by jazz icons like Richard Elliot, Gerald Albright, Dave Koz, Michael Brecker, and Cannonball Adderley, Ryan has taken the baton from his mentors and is carving out his own essential space in the genre.  His sustained radio presence across the 2020s place him firmly on that elite list of smooth jazz artists.
