Saxophonist and vocalist Marqueal Jordan aims to continue the legacy of musical greats, creating music that will inspire generations. With three solo albums and a substantial professional background, he has built a solid foundation for his musical aspirations.

Marqueal has dedicated 30 years to the rich and diverse Chicago music scene, working as a highly sought-after touring and session musician, bandleader, composer, horn arranger, and independent recording artist. For more than ten years, he toured internationally with Brian Culbertson’s band, appearing in two of his DVDs and contributing to four albums.

Marqueal’s 2013 solo debut album, Catalyst, established him as an emerging artist in the smooth and contemporary jazz genres. His second project, Intention & Purpose, released in 2019, explores contemporary jazz, soul/R&B, and hip-hop, demonstrating his developing skills as a songwriter, arranger, and producer. The album yielded two Top 20 hits on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Singles Chart: “If You Only Knew” and “The Edge.

His third solo album, All We Have Are Moments, released in April 2022, was enthusiastically received. The lead single, “Sistas,” spent 20 weeks on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Singles Chart, peaking at #3 and landing at #5 on Billboard’s Year-End Smooth Jazz Airplay Songs Chart. His second single, “Dot Dot Dot (The Sequel),” reached #8 on the Urban Influencer R&B/Soul Chart.

Onstage, Marqueal is a multifaceted, electrifying, and magnetic performer, having shared the stage with legendary musicians such as Oleta Adams, Gerald Albright, Regina Belle, Rick Braun, Jonathan Butler, Will Downing, George Duke, Candy Dulfer, Larry Graham, Lalah Hathaway, The Isley Brothers, Kenny Lattimore, Marcus Miller, Najee, Mike Phillips, Eric Roberson, David Sanborn, Jill Scott, Brian Simpson, and Sy Smith.
