Middle C Jazz Celebrates 7th Anniversary with “Best Live Music Venue” Recognition from The Charlotte Observer
SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY PERFORMANCES NOV 6-7, 2026
Middle C Jazz is marking its seventh year in Charlotte with national and local honors, capping off a banner year of live music in Uptown. The venue was recently named “Best Live Music Venue” for the third consecutive year in The Charlotte Observer’s Readers’ Choice Awards, following its recognition by DownBeat Magazine as one of the “World’s Great Jazz Venues” for 2026.
“For seven years, Charlotte audiences have filled our seats, supported incredible artists, and helped us build a vibrant cultural community right here in Uptown,” said Larry Farber, Co-Founder of Middle C Jazz. “Whether welcoming international icons or championing local talent, our goal remains unchanged: to provide an exceptional live music experience in an intimate, welcoming setting.”
Over the past year, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming an incredible lineup of performers, including first-time appearances by Peter Cincotti, Take 6, Marcus Miller, Chrissi Poland, and Euge Groove.
We’ve also enjoyed the return of audience favorites: Chris Botti, Kirk Whalum, Lindsey Webster, Arturo Sandoval, Acoustic Alchemy, Jonathan Butler, Mindi Abair, Kim Waters, Marion Meadows, Maysa, Rick Braun, Gerald Albright, Norman Brown, and the list goes on.
Each artist brings something different to our stage, and combined with the enthusiasm of our audiences, these performances are truly memorable.
To celebrate seven years of bringing world-class artists and intimate performances to the Queen City, Middle C Jazz will host a special two-night 7th Anniversary concert weekend on Friday, November 6, and Saturday, November 7.
The special anniversary weekend will feature long-time venue favorites Noel Freidline and Maria Howell, joined by acclaimed vocalists Morgan James and Doug Wamble for four high-energy sets across both evenings.
