Adam McKnight
POWERHOUSE VOCALIST
Performance Friday & Saturday, November 7-8
Tribute to Stevie Wonder, with Noel & Maria
Adam McKnight has long been a pillar of Atlanta’s soul and gospel music scene. Known for his powerful voice and versatility across R&B, pop, gospel, and even opera, McKnight’s journey reflects both talent and perseverance.
His early career included co-writing and producing the acclaimed gospel album Are You Listening with Voices of Atlanta, a group he founded to inspire through song. His standout moment came in 2004 when he arranged background vocals and recorded eight tracks for Elton John’s Peachtree Road album—an experience that led to a global tour and solidified his place among world-class vocalists.
Since then, McKnight’s artistry has continued to evolve. He has performed with icons such as Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, B.B. King, and Faith Hill, and lent his voice to commercial projects for brands like the Georgia Lottery and ESPN Radio. His solo work, including albums Determination, Life: Work in Progress, and Working on Me, showcases his signature baritone and dedication to authentic musical storytelling. Beyond his recordings, he has appeared with Voices of Atlanta in significant events, including the 2019 Super Bowl halftime show with Maroon 5 and the MGM/Orion film Till, produced by Whoopi Goldberg.
Offstage, McKnight remains deeply involved in the arts community. He serves as Associate Artistic Director and Board Member for Ballethnic Dance Company and is a former Atlanta Recording Academy board member. Reflecting on his path, McKnight often credits faith and resilience for sustaining his career. His story embodies the message behind his music: determination, faith, and an unwavering commitment to uplifting others through song.
