He has crisscrossed the globe with luminaries like Bobby Caldwell, Gino Vannelli, and Jeff Lorber Fusion, all while forging a successful solo career. With five albums and three Top 5 hits on the Billboard chart under his belt, Patrick’s musical prowess continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
Patrick is one of the youngest inductees into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame and has been honored with the Independent Spirit Award from his adopted city. Recognized for his blues mastery with three Muddy Awards, he has also earned accolades for his contributions to the community, with his production company receiving both the Spirit of Portland and the Caring Heart Award.
His newest single, “Mint Condition,” released on January 27, 2025, was co-produced by Blake Aaron and features Mel Brown on bass, Lil John Roberts on drums, Chris “Big Dog” Davis on keys, and Blake Aaron on guitar. About this latest release, Patrick shares: “I wanted to share something meaningful with you all. When I chose the title ‘Mint Condition’ for my new single, it’s more than just a phrase—it reflects where I am in life right now. My life has turned around, like a fresh start on a clean slate. It’s a moment of renewal, where everything feels aligned and ready to go.”
Here’s a little more about Patrick and his new track, introduced by WaterColor’s Dave Koz.
